US to stop participating in future military exercises in Europe, Swedish media reports

The US has notified its allies that it doesn’t plan to take part in navy workout routines held in Europe past these already scheduled in 2025, Swedish media outlet Expressen reported on March 7.

Sources instructed Expressen that this can have an effect on a number of workout routines presently within the "drafting board" part that will probably be held in Sweden.

Since his inauguration in January, U.S. President Donald Trump has signaled that he needs to pivot American safety priorities away from Europe and give attention to China and the Indo-Pacific Area.

He shocked allies with current strikes together with ending navy support and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, excluding European allies from peace talks held with Russia in Saudia Arabia, and has repeatedly pressuring NATO allies to extend their protection spending.
