
Three cops had an unknown liquid thrown of their eyes as they responded to a battle in Leicester metropolis centre.
Police believed that the substance should be on the garments of individuals within the space of King Road when the liquid was thrown, at round 4.50am on Sunday.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of administering a noxious substance and stays in police custody.
Police wish to hear from individuals affected and those that might have witnessed what occurred.
DI Jenny Tattersall mentioned: ‘The officers have been taken to hospital after the liquid considerably irritated their pores and skin and eyes. They’ve been monitored over a number of hours and discharged this morning.

‘Whereas we don’t know what the substance is at this stage and assessments will probably be carried out, medical professionals have indicated that there will probably be no lasting injury.
‘We all know that there have been different individuals within the space on the time the liquid was thrown and I’d like anybody who might had been contaminated with it to contact us. It could be on gadgets of clothes, and that will probably be additional proof.
‘Equally, when you have been within the space and noticed what occurred within the incident, or within the moments earlier than or after, I’m fascinated about listening to from you. We all know from CCTV enquiries that there have been lots of people within the space on the time.’
