Customers are dealing with a scarcity of bananas throughout the UK after tropical storms within the Pacific have left cargo ships stranded at ports.

Supermarkets reminiscent of Tesco and M&S have been hit by the shortages, with footage shared on social media displaying rows of empty cabinets accompanied by an indication telling prospects there had been cargo delays.

An indication at a retailer in Osterley, west London, mentioned: ‘We’re sorry that bananas are out of inventory on account of unhealthy climate situations. We’re working exhausting with our suppliers to refill our cabinets.’
