A park ranger claims to have been fired after teaming up with drag queens and trans activists to hold a transgender flag from a well-known landmark in a US Nationwide Park.
Shannon Joslin, alongside well-known drag queen Pattie Gonia and different activists, hung the flag on Yosemite's well-known El Capitan rock formation.
In a social media publish on August 18, Ms Joslin claimed to have been fired her place with the Nationwide Park Service (NPS) after she "hung a trans flag on El Capitan" in her "free time, off-duty, as a non-public citizen".

Ms Joslin wrote: "Final week I used to be fired from my dream job as a everlasting park ranger with the NPS for practising my First Modification proper."
It’s understood the transgender flag was on the rocks for roughly "two hours within the morning" earlier than it was taken down.
Ms Joslin added: "El Capitan has had flags held on it for many years and nobody has EVER been punished for it. Solely me.
"I used to be fired by the non permanent Deputy Superintendent for 'failing to reveal acceptable conduct' in my capability as a Wildlife Biologist for the park.

In Could, members of a "coalition of LGBTQ activist climbers" often known as "Trans Is Pure" hung the flag, which measured 55 by 35 toes, "someplace between 8am and 10am, 1,500 toes up El Capitan".
