A schoolgirl travelling on a practice was left with a damaged wrist and chunks of her hair ripped out after she was all of the sudden attacked by a bunch of youngsters.

Footage exhibits 13-year-old Ruby begging her attackers to cease as she was punched and kicked within the head in the course of the 15-minute ordeal.

She had boarded the Tyne and Put on’s Metro at Whitley Bay on Friday afternoon when she was set on by two teenage ladies.

Her aunt, Tammie Barclay, has mentioned the gang had been wanting cash off of her niece, and ‘held her captive’ till she gave them £10.

Tammie informed the Mirror: ‘They nonetheless carried on beating her up. She’s bought chunks of her hair lacking out of her head as nicely.’

The aunt has since made a GoFundMe web page to cowl the price of new garments which had been ‘ripped to shreds’ within the assault.

However donations have since flooded in, and reached £1,000 by the subsequent morning.

Greater than £4,000 has since been raised, with Tammie writing: ‘Thanks everybody.

‘Please cease donations. Ruby has bought greater than sufficient to have a beautiful day trip.’

Northumbria Police mentioned: ‘Shortly earlier than 7.55pm on Friday, April 4, we obtained a report of a disturbance close to to Wallsend Metro Station.

‘Officers attended the place it was reported a teenage lady had been assaulted by two different females whereas on board the practice. These concerned had already left the realm earlier than police arrival.

‘The sufferer – aged 13 – was left shaken by the incident and was taken to hospital to be checked over. She has since been discharged and is being supported by officers.’
