RAPISTS and home abusers have had years added to their jail phrases after being referred for being too lenient, The Solar can reveal.
Violent offenders who abused girls have had their sentences elevated below a scheme designed to problem tender punishments.
Knowledge revealed by the Lawyer Normal’s Workplace reveals that out of a complete 48 circumstances heard by the Court docket of Enchantment between January and March 2025, 33 sentences had been elevated.
Of those 33 sentences, 15 circumstances associated to violent and sexual offences in opposition to girls and women.
