U.S. President Donald Trump and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, will co-chair the peace summit going down on Monday afternoon in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

European leaders — together with France’s Emmanuel Macron, the U.Okay.’s Keir Starmer, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni and Spain’s Pedro Sánchez, together with Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and others — will attend the summit, which comes after a ceasefire settlement took impact within the Gaza Strip on Friday.

The summit goals to “finish the battle within the Gaza Strip, improve efforts to carry peace and stability to the Center East, and usher in a brand new section of regional safety and stability,” in line with a press release late Saturday by the Egyptian presidency.

A signing ceremony of the “Center East peace plan,” the deal agreed upon by Israel and Hamas to finish preventing in Gaza, is predicted to happen throughout the assembly.

However neither Israel nor Hamas will reportedly attend the summit.

On Monday morning, Hamas is predicted to launch a gaggle of Israeli hostages in change for the liberation of some prisoners by Israel, in accordance with the ceasefire deal reached onThursday. Concurrently the change, Trump will journey to Israel, ship a speech on the Knesset, after which head to Sharm El-Sheikh to hitch the summit.

On Sunday morning, vehicles carrying humanitarian support crossed the border into the Gaza Strip after the U.N.’s humanitarian workplace mentioned Israel had allowed support to once more move to the enclave, offered the ceasefire settlement holds.

European Council President António Costa will be a part of the peace summit in Egypt and “will symbolize the European Union on the ceremony of the Center East Peace Plan,” in line with a press release by his spokesperson on Sunday.
