4 protestors have been arrested on suspicion of legal injury to the show case containing the Crown Jewels on the Tower of London, forcing the closure of the part housing the priceless nationwide symbols.

Metropolitan Law enforcement officials rushed to the scene on Saturday morning after experiences of the incident, with accountability being claimed by the group Take Again Energy.

Video shared by the group confirmed them dumping custard and crumble on the case containing the State Crown as employees tried to intervene.

"Crumble and Custard on the Crown Jewels," they wrote alongside the video.

A spokesman for the Met confirmed: “Police have been known as at 09:48hrs on Saturday, December 6 to the Tower of London following experiences of legal injury to a show case, containing the State Crown.

“Officers labored carefully with Metropolis of London Police and safety officers and 4 folks have been arrested on suspicion of legal injury. They’ve taken into custody.

"The Jewel Home has been closed to the general public whereas the police investigation continues," they added.
