A HEATHROW Airport station has been evacuated on account of “defective fireplace tools”, inflicting journey chaos throughout rush hour this morning.

The Elizabeth Line was suspended between Heathrow Terminals T2 and T3 and Terminal 4.

This has precipitated disruption for each commuters and travellers heading to and from the favored airport.

Nationwide Rail stated a fireplace alarm went off at one of many stations between the Heathrow Terminals.

It was evacuated whereas emergency providers and workers examine it.

Nationwide Rail stated: “The hearth alarm sounding at a station between Heathrow Terminal 4 and Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 implies that the road is closed.

“Elizabeth line trains working to / from these stations could also be cancelled or revised consequently.

“Station workers and emergency providers are at present investigating the incident and for security causes, the station has been evacuated and trains are not in a position to cease at Heathrow Terminal 4.”

The remainder of the Elizabeth Line has good service.
