Police have launched a large seek for three prisoners who escaped from an open jail in Buckinghamshire on Monday night.

Jason MacDonagh, 34, Daniel Harty, 34 and Barney Casey, 24, fled Springhill Open Jail close to Aylesbury.

Thames Valley Police mentioned the boys have connections to a number of addresses within the UK and Eire.

A spokesman mentioned: ‘MacDonagh is a white man, at round 5ft 9ins tall, of medium construct and has ginger hair. He has facial hair and was final seen carrying gray tracksuit trousers and a white vest.

‘Casey can also be a white man, at round 5ft 9ins tall, of small construct and has black hair. He has slight facial hair and a moustache, and a goatee beard. He was final seen carrying a gray tracksuit.

Police identified Jason MacDonaugh as being the buyer and seller of the Audi. They then also connected his associates to the crimes which also saw them strike near Bristol and Warwickshire. Police tracked MacDonaugh, aged 32, Darren O'Halloran, 38, and Barney Casey, 22, to Yorkshire where they were arrested in early February. Following further enquiries they detained Daniel Harty, 32, in Wales later in the month.

The three are identified to frequent Bristol, the West Midlands, Leicestershire, Leeds, Bradford, Northern Eire and the Republic of Eire, police mentioned.

The general public has been urged to not strategy them and to report any sightings to police.

Earlier this 12 months, a convicted assassin who escaped jail and was on the unfastened for 3 days was lastly discovered.

Raymond McCourt, 59, was reported lacking from HMP Fortress Huntly in Dundee, with police warning individuals to not strategy him.

Fortunately, he was present in Edinburgh and returned to jail. McCourt was jailed for all times in 1993 after murdering shopkeeper Khalid Mahmood whereas trying to rob his newsagents.
