Moscow’s 4 worldwide airports closed for hours in a single day following an assault by Ukrainian drones on the capital that unfold to different Russian cities and airports.

Russian forces shot down 105 Ukrainian drones in a single day, the Russian protection ministry informed native information businesses.

In accordance with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, 19 drones had been destroyed close to Moscow alone, inflicting no accidents.

The assault by Ukrainian drones led to disruptions at 13 Russian airports early Tuesday, Russian media reported, citing Russia’s air transport security company.

Along with Moscow’s 4 airports, flight restrictions had been imposed at airports in Kaluga, Volgograd, Saratov, Samara, Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Kazan and Nizhnekamsk, the state-owned TASS information company reported.

The assaults hit the Russian capital for the second evening in a row as Moscow prepares for Friday’s Victory Day parade marking the eightieth anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany. The parade shall be attended by leaders of Russia’s allies, together with China’s Xi Jinping and Brazil’s Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in addition to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned over the weekend that his authorities couldn’t assure the security of international delegations visiting Moscow for Friday’s parade, regardless of Putin’s name for a three-day ceasefire whereas Russian forces proceed to assault Ukraine.

“We can’t be held liable for what occurs on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Zelenskyy informed reporters.
